Vahakn + Human Instruments is working with IRCAM and Music Bricks to develop new musical devices aimed at (but not exclusivley for) people with limited physical mobility, particularly those living with spinal injuries.

Vahakn + Human Instruments is at Cypsy20 Conference in La Jolla, California, presenting their academic paper on Accessible musical instruments for people with varied physical ability.

Vahakn + Human Instruments went to Sonar Fesitval with Bare Conductive and have have been awarded 2 prizes for participating in the Music Hack Day. Awarded by Music Bricks and Fab Lab Barcelona.

Vahakn + Human Instruments collaborated with Bare Conductive on an accesible musical instrument device and won the Graham Massey (808 State) choice award at Music Tech Fest Scandanavia in Umea, Sweden. Discover MTF here and watch the story of the instrument here.

Vahakn completed a branding commission for a subsidiary of the European Comission.

Vahakn is currently involved in designing new instruments for the musicians of the British Paraorchestra.

Vahakn and studio partners attended a skill share and demonstration of some of the new interfaces for musical expression aimed at the severely physically disabled with Rhythmix Music charity.

Vahakn is working on an exciting new book with Verena Hanschke.
